Leaving a planned gift to BGC allows you to leave a lasting legacy of BIG impact. A gift to BGC helps to ensure that our programs, from Clubs and Camp continue to reach amazing kids and youth in your community.
Ways to leave a planned gift for BGC
Leaving a gift in your will
When you leave a gift in your will, it’s called a “bequest.” It doesn’t affect your income or savings during your lifetime. Your estate will also receive a tax receipt for your bequest that can significantly lower the amount of taxes that would otherwise be paid. Every bit you leave, big or small, helps us to provide a safe space for kids and youth to belong. The easiest way to begin the process of leaving a gift in your will is by contacting your legal advisor.
Registered accounts and pensions
Donating registered financial accounts like Tax-Free Savings Accounts and Registered Retirement Savings Plans supports BGC’s kids and families in an easy and tax-effective way.
Life Insurance
Gifting life insurance proceeds provides a lasting impact for kids and youth at BGC without using your estate. The best way to learn more about donating current or new life insurance proceeds to BGC is to connect with your Life Insurance provider.
Trusts
Donating trusts is a way for you to make a planned gift to BGC when your assets are complex or of a higher value.
If you are considering leaving a gift to BGC in your will, we want to say a BIG thank you for seeing and believing in the amazingness of kids.
