Adventure starts at Camp Potlatch!

Welcoming over 1,000 campers each summer, Camp Potlatch is an overnight wilderness camp – BGC style. Whether you’re keen to reach new heights on the natural rock wall, hit a bullseye at the archery range, or search for marine life along 1.5km of pristine coastal shoreline, Camp Potlatch has something for every adventurer!

IT’S PINK SHIRT DAY!

For 17 years, BGC has proudly partnered with @CKNWkidsfund to champion Pink Shirt Day, and to support all the work that goes into combatting bullying. And, over this time we’ve seen some pretty amazing progress. We’ve seen legislation enacted against bullying, workplace policies that prohibit it, and a shift in attitude against bullying – especially in kids.

But combating bullying also means spreading kindness where we work, go to school, and in our communities so that we can create safe spaces where EVERYONE feels like they belong. It may seem simple, but a little kindness can have a BIG impact.

Every day at our Clubs, we see the amazing things that happen when we work hard to cultivate these spaces. Kids and youth develop positive relationships that are good for them, they gain confidence, make friends, and they learn that there is no room for bullying in their worlds.

Join us in spreading a little kindness today, we promise it will go a long way!

Today on #HaveaHeartDay, our kids and youth are learning about #SpiritBear and #HaveAHeartDay. We continue to support efforts to ensure that First Nations children and youth do not encounter barriers in accessing publicly funded health, social, education programs, and supports. For BGC, advocacy means amplifying youth voices, standing up for children and their families, and actively pushing decision-makers toward a more inclusive and equitable Canada. @BGCCan

When kids spend time at Club, what they are really doing is developing the skills that they need to grow into confident, healthy, and happy adults.
